Another Year Older

Well folks I've officially lost a full 10 lbs!  I'm really excited about it.  Losing weight was never an issue for me in the passed, but since this last little baby, I hadn't lost a thing~!  Which was really frustrating to me.  I guess things change, our bodies change.  Anyhow I didn't think I could be disciplined enough to stick to eating healthy, and exercise (which had to wait until my ankle got stronger).   But somehow in these 3 weeks I stuck to a good diet, and for the last 4 days walked on the treadmill, and I've lost 10lbs.
I am hoping to keep this going, my final goal is to at least get back to where I was before Madalyn came along.  To get there I need to lose 13 more lbs.  It would actually be great if I could get down even more to 18-20 lbs less.  We'll see.  For right now I'm just keeping my eyes on one day at a time.
The Master Cleanse was suggested to me, a fast way to lose 20lbs, but I'm to chicken.  All I'm doing right now is eating 5-6 small meals of protein and healthy carbs.  Cutting out the "extras" like butter, sugar, cream, cheese and whatever feels like extra to me.  I was trying to count calories, but that becomes too mathmatical for my brain. Portions are important!  I do look at the labels and read how much sugar, fibre and calories are in a serving.  I try to only use the serving size or less.  And if I feel that is to large of a number for calories or sugar I don't eat it.  Until maybe Friday.  Friday is my official "free day" where I can eat the extras.  Be aware though, my first free day I totally pigged out and gained 2 lbs!! hehe.
So this last one I kept it simple, I snitched a couple french fries from Ashley's plate.  Snagged a bite of Bevan's macaroni and cheese.  Ate the left over broccoli with ranch dressing from Natalie.  A small piece of Bradon's chocolate chip cookie.  Keeping the freebie's small, and I didn't gain any weight at all! Yippy!
In case you didn't know it's my Birthday tomorrow.  Yep, another year has just flown by like, well, quickly!  I'd like to stay 30, but time marches on, so I'll be heading into 29 :)JK, 34 is more like it.  It still puzzles me how things change.  As a teen I couldn't wait to be another year older.  In my 20s it didn't matter I could care less.  Now I cringe at the thought of being ANOTHER YEAR OLDER.  Hmmm, funny isn't it?
It's all good I guess, at least I get to have my birthday dinner on Friday. Courtesy of my amazing Mother-In-Love.  I still have to decide what.  It's between home-made fried chicken, with scallop potatoes or homemade tacos with.....what's a yummy side dish with tacos??  I have absolutely no trouble picking dessert, Love in a pan..mmmmmm...creamy chocolate and whip cream!
PS I just gotta to say again that I really miss my spell checker! I can't find the option for it! Oh well.  Guess you'll have to play English teacher and tell me my spelling mistakes!
Oh and here's a picture, cause she's just so darn cute!
